www.22gigantes.com - SUMMERY I am pleased to have completed this follow up book for my continuing adventures that I undertook; in my then new acquired hurricane damaged yacht originally named Soldiki and renamed Fairwinds. Again I have learnt a lot about myself and in the sailing community. To experience happy times in the journey through ability of perseverance and downright refusal to give up under some awful stress and loss. I experienced some amazing situations and some wonderful people, and also had many conflicting encounters with many bad one. I am happy with myself and my achievements in my life, and I am also happy to have kept my sense of humour ,and can look back in some amusement and laugh at my plans and situations that went horribly wrong many times. Some people, who have fainter hearts than I, have been critical at my risk taking in my sailing career. However sailing is not for the faint hearted and at times can be very dangerous and some less experienced sailors are usually not as open with their tales of disasters or mistakes thinking they leave themselves to ridicule life one must have to experience the troublesome times and loss as well. Should people have a dream, a business to establish, an adventure to undertake to much planning and thinking and worrying about certain unknown consequences or listening to people who are usually critical of other people’s ambitions will deter the faint hearted. I entered another chapter in my life when I decided to buy and save that hurricane damaged yacht after hurricane Ivan. Later she was hit for a second time from hurricane Emily that again sustained awful damage. Quite frankly I was tempted to abandon the attempt to save Fairwind the second time around, because again she was badly damaged. The experiences in Jamaica, Cuba and Haiti and then St Marten, was sometimes driving me to the limit of my endurance. However it gave me so much fun also at times that seemed to come only after so much trouble and strife. I thank many kind people who helped me unconditionally with their time or encouragement that enabled me to win through. I was pleased to eventually arrive back to Tortola BVI, where I had set sail from some two years before to Haiti. I have much to thank my daughter, friends Ian and Karen and my new friend Steve the American sailor who came to my rescue in times of extreme money troubles. This book is dedicated to my departed brother John who always had faith in me and gave me encouragement and the memory of many happy times we shared together when he was alive. Harry's first book was called SAGA OF A NAUTI SAILOR . available on amazon
